On Monday 26th October a group in the Blackstone enjoyed doing investigations on our home grown pumpkins.
Our investigation included;
- guessing the size of our pumpkins
- how many lines where on the outside of it
- will it sink or float
- the amount of seeds inside it – we where totally surprised that the smaller pumpkin( carved face) had 485 seeds; nearly twice as many seeds as the larger one ( carved into a ghost) which had 262 seeds.
Staff then helped to carve the pumpkins into the shapes we liked the best.
