Who We Are

Our Story

The Centre offers a range of individualised activities and support designed to promote independence, inclusion, health and wellbeing.

The Centre offers access to work skills training provided in partnership with both Southern and South Eastern Regional Colleges and courses are tailored to needs and abilities. Work placements are available within the service and via referral to MENCAP employment service.

Participation

At the heart of our Centre, participation is a positive and energetic partnership. We work as a team with our clients, ensuring they have the space to speak up, share their ideas, and lead the way. Whether they are running daily activities, helping out around the Centre, or exploring new skills, every individual plays an active role in shaping their own day. It’s all about building real-world confidence, celebrating personal goals, and sharing in each other’s success.

Our History

The Beeches Resource Centre is located in the small village of Aghalee, Co. Antrim. The Centre has been open since 1990 and provides individualised day care and day activities to adult clients with a learning disability. Our service focuses on supporting each individual to develop practical life skills, maximize their personal choices, and promote independence within a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Mission

Our mission is to enhance independence and personal growth by providing high-quality day care and tailored educational programs, delivered every day by our dedicated and passionate staff team. Through vital partnerships with external organizations and regional colleges, we fund and deliver diverse vocational training, life skills education, and therapeutic activities designed to maximize confidence and well-being.
