Tuesday 19th December clients enjoyed singing and dancing along to Tom the Music Man.
Christmas Festivities at the Centre 2023
During the month of December clients have taken part in different Christmas themed activities including; Christmas bingo Villa group performed Scrooge for their peers Made chocolate Christmas trees, and homemade shortbread Christmas art work Christmas Cards and letters Movie Days Hot chocolates, mince pies Christmas sing along Christmas activity booklets
Craft Barn Sale
The Craft Barn pop up shop was a great success last Thursday 3oth November 2023 at the Centre. Both the Choir and Makaton Choir provided some entertainment, which went down a treat. We raised a massive £743.40. Thank You to all those that attended the event.
Country Music Project
During planning the Villa key group clients chose to do a country music project. We used the iPad to look up our favourite country singers and lyrics to our favourite songs; Achy breaky heart, The Dance, Its Friday, Rhinestone Cowboy. Craft Barn Sale
On Thursday 30th November 2023 the Centre will be holding our pop up Craft Barn Sale from 1.30-2.30 pm.
Cookery
Clients have enjoyed baking banoffee, plain scones and chocolate chip scones.
Knitted wire Christmas tree decoration
We had a pop of Craft Barn Christmas shop and created some decorations to sell from wool and wire. We used a knitting mill to create a wool tube that we fed over the wire and molded into a Christmas tree shape. We then used stars, buttons, sequins and pom poms to create baubles on […]
Spider Plants
We received some spiderettes that we propagated in water for a few weeks until the roots formed. We then planted these into so soil and in pots that we painted. These are displayed around the Centre and we are watching these grow and are tending to them to make sure they have enough water.
Halloween activities
The Blackstone group had great fun in the lead up to Halloween. We made salt dough Halloween ornaments, Halloween masks, completed worksheets and painted bottles to make our own Halloween skittles which Sharon came 1st, Susan 2nd and Rosemary 3rd- Well done!
