??Gardening??
Clients at the Centre have been working hard out in the garden, poly tunnel and sensory area to get them ready for the summer. The Music Room group have also been helping with Plant orders, by helping to water and fill hanging baskets and pots.
?Art therapy?
Tuesday finished our art therapy sessions with Nikki from Empathy Creations- which where funded by Aghalee Village Hall. Our last session focused on us making chakra mindfulness bracelets from lava beads and crystals as you can see in the pictures below.
?Earth Day- 22nd April 2022 ?
This week clients have enjoyed taking part in Earth day activities. We watched short videos on facts about Earth Day, discussed how we can help the earth – recycling, using less water, planting trees, walking rather than using the car. ? Easter Holidays Closure ?
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the Centre will be closed 2 days this year for the Easter Break: – Monday 18th April 2022 & Tuesday 19th April 2022. The Centre will reopen on Wednesday 20th April 2022. We hope you all have a great few days off.
??Easter Activities at the Centre??
On the lead up to the Easter Holidays we have been taking part in many different Easter activities including: Chalk Art work Word searches Weaving Bun making Colouring in Worksheets about Easter for our display board Easter Egg hunt Chippy Days………and much more
?Bun Making?
Today at the Centre clients enjoyed making fairy cake buns during a cookery session. When the buns cooled off we all decorated our own buns with icing, chocolate and different toppings and they tasted great with a lovely cup of tea/coffee. See our pictures below:
Art Therapy with Nikki
Clients at the Centre continue to enjoy doing different art activities with Nikki ( Empathy Creations), which was kindly funded by Aghalee Village Hall. Have a look at our pictures to see us decorate our positive quotes using different techniques and colours.
?Seed Planting ?
Throughout the week clients have really enjoyed planting seeds. We filled up pots/trays with compost and then added a mixture of seeds to them. The pots where then put in our greenhouse where we will water them daily and watch them grow.
Tasty Treats?
Today some clients enjoyed making fifteen buns. We discussed the ingredients we needed for these and then the steps to get them from separate ingredients to tasty treats. Look at our pictures to see the fabulous looking buns.
