Summer Closure Dates.

Just a reminder that the Centre will break for summer closure on Friday 26th July 2019  and will re-open on Monday 12th August 2019. We hope you all have a great 2 weeks off!  

Defibrillator Donation

The Centre received a very kind donation of a defibrillator, which can be of use to anyone within our services or the local community in the case of an emergency. Flowers for sale

The Centre will have a range of hanging/window baskets for sale during the month of June.  Or you can bring your own baskets which we can fill. You can come to the Centre on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday between 1.30pm -2.00pm to see the range available or to purchase these.      

May Day Closure

The Centre will be closed on Monday 6th May 2019 for May Day Bank Holiday. We hope you all have a lovely day off and look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday 7th May 2019.

Makaton Friendly Centre

The Centre has once again been awarded Makaton friendly status by the Makaton Charity. This is in recognition of the range of Makaton based activities on offer within the Centre. Our Makaton choir have designed their own logo and this has been printed onto t-shirts for the choir to wear during performances.

Easter Extravaganza

Before finishing for the Easter break we all had great fun searching for eggs that were hidden outside.  We also had Easter arts and crafts, cookery, and bingo with some great prizes to be won!      

Pancake Tuesday – ‘Flippin Good day’

On Tuesday 5th March clients at the Centre enjoyed making pancakes and crepes for Shrove Tuesday. Clients enjoyed making the pancakes from scratch especially putting different toppings on them . Toppings included; lemon and sugar nutella maple syrup banana and toffee sauce.    

Healthy Eating

  On 20/02/19 Local Health Development Practitioner (SE Trust) Caroline McGrath gave a talk on Healthy Eating. Caroline discussed the different food groups, the amount of sugar and fat in sweets/foods. Clients enjoyed guessing the amount of sugar they thought was in food and some where surprised at some of the results.    

10 Pin Bowling
