Tom the Music Man
Today we enjoyed singing and dancing along with Tom the Music Man to some of our favourite songs.
?Ice Cream Van ?
On 17/7/24 Kyle helped to organise an ice cream visit to the Centre, we all really enjoyed the ice cream in the good weather.
Centre Holiday Closure
Just a reminder that the Centre will be closed on Friday 12th July 2024. We will reopen again on Monday 15th July 2024.
Butterfly Crafts
The Villa group made butterflies from cardboard tubes. We decorated these with markers/pencils, and cut the wings out. We used pompoms to decorate the wings.
Tissue Paper Art
Clients in the Blackstone enjoyed using tissue paper to create some great art pieces, which we turned into picture frames.
Pebble Art
On 26/6/24 clients enjoyed a recycling discussion with Noel (Waste promotions officer from ARC21 – which runs through Lisburn and Castlereagh Borough Council) designing our own pebble art, and a game of recycling bingo.
Cultural Take Out
Clients at the Centre enjoyed taking part in Cultural take out ( provided from Irish Linen Centre/Lisburn Museum) – we designed a mosaic coaster by using smaller tiles to decorate it they way we liked, we had to seal the MDF, arrange our tiles and then grout them.
Farewell Jenny
Friday the 14th June 2024 we said Goodbye to Jenny after 28 years service at the Centre. We wish you well Jenny in your adventure.
Rock Painting
Clients in the Blackstone have enjoyed painting rocks with their own designs. When complete they are going to be out in our sensory garden to help decorate it.
Finger print terracotta plant pots
We used our finger prints to create flowers and ladybird designs on terracotta plant pots with paint. We then painted the rim and saucers to match. We planted in some of the spiderplants we had propagated and these were sold at our Centre’s May Summer Sale.
