Nikki has recently been working with clients in the Gallery to create some keyrings, earrings and pocket sized ‘Affirmations Book’. Each client was able to draw onto plastic sheets and cut these out, then Nikki demonstrated how a heat gun can be used to shrink the plastic to make it hard enough to be used for keyrings or earrings. The clients also worked with Nikki to create patterns using paint and ink onto paper, to make the outside covers and inside decorations for their affirmation booklets. Nikki supported clients to stain some printed card using tissue paper and water to create the water colour effect for the inside of the booklets. Nikki works with AVH to provide art sessions to local groups and the Centre have been utlising these lately.
