Unfortunately, due to restrictions, access to cookery sessions is currently suspended, however, that did not stop us! We decided to make our own lunch in the Music Room and a healthy fruit salad to practice our kitchen skills. We have been having healthy eating chats, working on being healthier and improving our fitness levels. We are aiming to eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day and we suggested a fruit salad for a healthy snack with a low-fat yoghurt to help with this.
We made our lunch using ham, cheese and chicken on wholemeal wraps and white bread with low fat butter and low-fat mayonnaise.
For our fruit salad we used strawberries, oranges, raspberries, bananas, and a tin of pineapple with natural yoghurt. We prepared our fruit by washing the strawberries and raspberries, peeling the oranges and bananas and slicing into our preferred sizes.
It was enjoyed by all! Check out our pictures below 😊
