National pet Month ran from 1st April – 1st May this year and to celebrate this the Blackstone group learnt a lot about pet care. We learnt to make sure our pets are fed, watered, bathed, taken to vet if unwell and making sure our pets get enough exercise. The group completed worksheets, colouring in activities, learnt facts about their favourite pets using books and the iPad and chatted about the pets we had at home.
Jennifer has a dog called “Beau” who stole sausages at a family B.B.Q, Andrew’s sister has a dog called “Aussie”, who likes to run up the lane, Joan has a cat called “Blacky” who loves to sit at the kitchen door and Cheryl has a dog called “Poppy” who she likes to take for walks.
Have a look at our photographs below and you can see all our hard work about pets.
