Halloween treat time!

Pumpkin Investigation

On Monday 26th October a group in the Blackstone enjoyed doing investigations on our home grown pumpkins. Our investigation included; guessing the size of our pumpkins how many lines where on the outside of it will it sink or float the amount of seeds inside it – we where totally surprised that

Frankie the Frankenstein!!

The Blackstone key group had great fun making this Frankenstein out of an old pallet. It took a few steps to get the completed look. We sanded the pallet – to make it nice and smooth Painted the whole pallet with white paint ( 2 coats) We then drew our Frankenstein design

COVID 19

Pancake Day!!

25/2/2020 – Pancake Day at the Centre. We all enjoyed making homemade pancakes – although deciding which topping we were going to have was a big decision!!  

Catherine’s Creature Comforts

Catherine visited the Centre on 4/2/2020 for a taster session. Everyone got to pet and learn information about guinea pigs, a bearded dragon and a lesser hedgehog tenrecs. Some of us held the guinea pigs on our knees and fed them vegetables; one of them jumped off the table onto the floor.

Wool – Donations

Currently at the Centre we are in the process of making blankets/shawls for individuals in Bosnia to help keep them warm. We would be very grateful for any wool that you may no longer need and wish to donate to the Centre so that we can put it to good use to
