Clients from the Blackstone Key Group have been working hard on a ‘Birds of the World Project’, this has taken a few months to complete as using the lap top and iPad we have been researching facts about:
- Penguins
- Parrots
- Peacocks
- Ducks
- Ostriches
The group did an amazing job of using their painted hand prints to create feathers for the birds then these were displayed on our large notice board for everyone to see. Clients also completed a range of worksheets to learn more interesting facts about these birds such as: where they come from, what they eat and how old they live to. We were surprised to hear that a baby peacock is called a peachick and some ostriches can live for up to 40 years.
