Bead Making Workshop

A group of clients from the Blackstone thoroughly enjoyed going up to Aghalee Village Hall to take part in a bead making workshop run by Nikki Terlik (Empathy Creations) which was funded by Aghalee Village Hall. Take a look at the pictures to see us making our necklaces from clay.    

Human Body Project

The Blackstone group have enjoyed learning about the human body. We used the ipad to find out what all the different organs do and how they function within the body. We made a cardboard cutout of a body -Amanda offered to lie down so we could draw round her and used this

Tying in with our Autumn wreath project, we decided to try leaf rubbing using crayons. We collected different sizes and types of leaves from our garden to use for our project and different colours in order to create our wreaths. We chose from brown, yellow, green and orange crayons to give that

?Boom Strutt Demo ?

The group enjoyed a Brass Band Drum Demonstration. Boom Strutt is a New Orleans second line brass band. Jo gave a demo of ‘Oh when the saints’ and everybody had great fun having a go themselves.

The Activity Room key group have been expressing their artistic skills with some Fine Art sessions, using pencil drawings as a base we have been interpreting what we each think these drawings should look like with colours added in different textures.
